  • Step by step assembly instructions
  • General Safety requirements/ fall protection
  • Inspection checklists
  • Practical hands-on erection and dismantling of several types of several types of frame, tube & coupler and "system" scaffolds
  • Planning a scaffold job
  • Scaffold design & loading
  • Determine size scaffold needed
  • How to do scaffold drawings
  • How to calculate the scaffold material required
  • How to calculate the weight on the scaffold planks, bearers, couplers, and posts (leg load ) 
  • Reading Scaffold Drawings
  • Inspection Procedures and Site Safety.
  • Initial Inspection, Weekly Inspections and Record Keeping.

 

Practical Session:

Practical shall verify the following:

  • Properly select and wear appropriate PPE during practical training
  • Perform proper pre-use inspection of Scaffold and equipment
  • Remove Scaffold and associated tools/equipment from service if it is unsafe
  • Effectively identify hazards associated with Scaffolds
  • React to unusual or emergency situations
  • Understand proper use of tools and equipment
  • Move material in a safe manner
  • Utilize proper fall protection
  • Determine safe Scaffold platform capacity
  • Safely erect and dismantle Scaffold
  • Secure materials for raising/lowering (rope knot application and usage)
  • Proper access/egress from Scaffold
